How to create/use e-mail distribution lists (aliases) in Mutt

Creating e-mail distribution lists

Using your favorite text editor (vi, emacs, pico, etc.), edit the file .muttrc (the name starts with a period) in your home directory. If the file does not exist, then you have to create it. Lines similar to the following will define personal aliases:

alias myfriends wilbur@math.arizona.edu,joecool@hotmail.com

There are lots of other things you can specify in your .muttrc file. To learn more about mutt and the muttrc file, read the man pages using the commands man mutt and man muttrc.
